Ph.D CONSORTIUM IN FINANCE

UGC NOTIFICATION
The UGC Notification No. F. 1-2/2009(EC/PS)V(I) Vol. II (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degrees, Regulations, 2016), has made it mandatory for Ph.D scholar to publish at least one (1) research paper in refereed journal and make two paper presentations in Consortiums /seminars before the submission of the dissertation/thesis (Clause 9.4, pp 11). Keeping this in view, Mittal School of Business is providing a platform to Ph.D scholars for presenting their work before an expert group of mentors and peers from a diverse set of academic and industrial institutions. The presenters will receive feedback from the panel of experts on their doctoral research plan and way forward.

WORKSHOP ON WRITING A PUBLISHABLE RESEARCH PAPER
PhD scholars will get an opportunity to attend a workshop on writing a publishable research paper during consortium without paying extra fee. The workshop is intended to develop research competency among the faculty members, research scholars, practitioners, aspiring researchers and students on writing a publishable research paper. The facilitator would guide and share the tips to draft different sections of a publishable manuscript. Participants are requested to send a separate mail at [email protected] as the seats allocation will be done on first come first serve basis.

CALL FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACTS
This consortium will focus on Ph.D areas in finance area. All Ph.D scholars including those who are close to pre-submission, are invited to apply and submit an abstract of not more than 2500 words including all figures, tables and key references in Times New Roman 12-point font, single spacing and with one inch margin on all sides.
The authors are also required to give personal particulars like name, topic of Ph.D, amount of work done, affiliation (Department and Institute), e-mail, telephone and postal address. The abstract should cover:
  • Introduction
  • Literature review
  • Research methodology
  • Contribution of the study
  • Expected findings and briefing of the remaining work
  • References

Notification of Acceptance of Extended Abstract 1st March, 2018
