About LPU

LPU aims at translating the UNDP’s vision of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into action plans to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity by 2030. Based upon the Global Goals adopted by UNDP in 2015, 17 SDGs are integrated for social, economic, and environmental sustainability. LPU’s sustainability efforts across all aspects of campus life reflect our commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals through teaching-learning, research, and extension activities in the community. In THE Impact ranking 2022, LPU scored 6th Globally (2nd in India) in Affordable & clean Energy; 19th Globally (2nd in India) in Decent work & Economic Growth; 34th Globally (3rd in India) in Clean Energy and Sanitation; 40th Globally (1st in India) in life on Land; 44th Globally (1st in India) in Zero hunger; 60th Globally (1st in India) in sustainable cities and communities; 67th Globally (3rd in India) in responsible consumption and production; 97th Globally (1st in India) in Climate action; 101-102nd globally (1st in India) for the partnership for the goals; Overall, 74th Globally (2nd in India). In 2022, LPU scored 23rd in Times Higher Education (THE) among Indian top universities (World ranking 801-1000 Band).
