With the introduction of satellite constellations, the interest in satellite communications and their applications has invigorated in the last five years. Satellite constellations will create unprecedented opportunities in every field related to space. Mission design for satellite and constellations requires extensive research on autonomous, self-controlling, flexible, self-organizing, and intelligent systems suitable for such a scenario. Scalability, distributed decision making, fault resurgence, and resilience are the key features in order to acquire these traits. Such a scenario will require extensive utilization of artificial intelligent techniques in communication, ground operations, and on-board processing.
In this context, the workshop on ‘Satellite Design and Applications for Constellations’ is curated to develop the system engineering aspects of satellite constellations with a aim to inculcate the ‘Mission to end goal’ approach among the young technocrats and professionals working in the field. The expert lectures in workshop will be delivered by the eminent speakers from premier organizations of the country.
